Kimon Baptiste - Kimmystic.Clo Named the Island designer of St.Vincent and the Grenadines at the 2008
Caribbean Fashion awards, Kimon Baptiste continues to be the top designer
in St.Vincent and the Grenadines, she is highly sought after for her
glamorous non-traditional evening gowns and fabulous ready to wear
clothing.Kimon has been intimately involved in the Fashion industry for over 10 years, Designing and Sewing every piece of clothing neatly and flawlessly - from the fabric selection to the finished product. Kimon began to develop her God given talent of Fashion design and Dressmaking from the age of 13, since then she has worked tirelessly to perfect the art, with the help of her trusted friends the sewing machine, scissors, books and magazines. In 2007 Kimon opened the doors to a “one stop shop” Boutique under the label Kimmystic-Clo. Her debut into the world of Fashion and runway shows came in December 1999 at the Fashion Caribbean show in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. Kimon a former beauty queen and graduate of the University of the West Indies has participated in numerous fashion shows including the Launch of the St.Kitts fashion week held at the Harlem School of Arts in New York 2008, she has also designed winning gowns for many pageants in St.Vincent and the Caribbean. Kimon’s 2008-2009 collection reflects all that is Caribbean, our climate, nature and our culture. It features an explosion of colors and represents the flavor of all our islands as we come together to create a pepper pot. It comprises relaxed yet fabulous clothing made from fabrics such as silks, chiffons and cottons. The collection also features accessories made in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. |
