Jamaican born, Florida based designer; Marvalyn Nelson has been creating ravishing male and female designs for over 25 years. LaMaica Fashions originates in the lush island of Jamaica and is now based in the U.S. Throughout her fashion journey, Marvalyn has earned an A.S. degree from Miami Dade Community College in Fashion Designing, a B.S. degree from Florida International University in Apparel Manufacturing. In 2007 she went on to earn a degree in Accessory Design , During the process of receiving this degree, she made the Honor Role, the Dean’s List . She also was named Accessory Designer of the Year for the Fashion Designer Expo in Miami. Her garments were published in She Caribbean Magazine Sept / Oct ’07 issue.
