Michelle Gordon – Jenez9designs Inc. Canada
In 1991, Michelle Gordon graduated from International Academy of Fashion
Merchandising and Design. Her goal is not only to establish herself as a
designer but a successful black executive who does not forget who she is
or where she came from.
She has the support of her family and friends who have confidence in
ability and believes she can achieves her goals. Michelle’s years in the
fashion industry have been challenging her but because of her faith and
great support she determined to succeed. Michelle is also involved in a
non-profit organization called Youth Energized And Harmonized Project.
Y.E.A.H. Where she has a program called Designing for the Stars in which
she teaches the youths from the city of Brampton how to sew and design .
Showing the youths today how they can easily attain their hearts desire.
Michelle has done self-promotion through fashion shows and trade shows.
She makes made to measures suits for men and women and her clients include
athletes, coaches and business professional. Michelle has been able to
incorporate her personal style into all the creations she has made for
J9D.
She believes that clothes have always played a role in defining one's
lifestyle. Michelle says, “The fashion industry has helped so many people
find out what kind of image they wish to project. Once the garment fits
you well, you will naturally feel good about yourself. That is why I say,
‘Fabric is fashion, fashion is fit and fit is function’. From the fabric
of the garment to it’s function people have to find what works for them
when they want to defined their image.”
