Sharon Cornwall
President, CFC / FASHION HAS NO BORDERS

Sharon Cornwall is a visionary entrepreneur and professional consultant with more than 20 years of experience in corporate, public and higher education environments. She has designed, implemented and presented numerous training programs for managers, employees, as well as professional and community organizations with emphasis on professional and organizational effectiveness.

Ms. Cornwall is widely recognized as a knowledgeable and highly experienced leader in her field. Her long list of clients include companies and organizations such as Intergraph Canada Ltd., Canadian Pacific Railway, Hood Engineering, Watoto Canada, Standard Land, and Rejuvenation Health Services. Her consultation business continues to guide companies such as The Academy for Recruitment Professionals and Life by Designs. She also developed and continues to spearhead a series of retreats for youth between the ages of 14 to 28, focusing on leadership.

In addition, Ms. Cornwall had also executive produced a number of successful events across Canada. She is the Founder and Producer of The Canadian National Griot Award, which presented the notable Barbadian author, Austin Clarke, with a lifetime achievement award in 2003. Other Griot award-winners include Gemini Award-winning film director, Selwyn Jacob (Carol’s Mirror and The Road Taken); filmmaker and broadcaster, Fil Fraser; the first Black Canadian to be elected to a provincial legislature in Canada, Leonard Braithwaite; the first Black man to be admitted to the Bar in Alberta, Justice Lionel Jones; hockey superstar, Jarome Iginla; and Canadian Football League Hall-of-Fame recipient, Herm Harrison.

Sharon Cornwall is highly resourceful and a skilled negotiator. She brings a wealth of international business experience to her current role as Managing Director of CFC, the parent company of FASHION HAS NO BORDERS. She has already successfully converged her far-reaching network of non-fashion contacts with the powerful network of creators and producers she has only begun to build within the fashion industries throughout the Caribbean, North America and Europe. Her experience in facility management, market research, event coordination, show production, talent management, as well as teaching, writing, and business administration are also potent skills and key to her role in building CFC.

In this the inaugural year of FASHION HAS NO BORDERS, Ms. Cornwall’s vision for CFC is rapidly taking root is generating firm interests for future partnership initiatives. Her mission is one anchored in inclusion, far beyond borders as we currently see them. This is proving even truer today.
